Women's championship: Away successes in the league's lower section
Eger remain unbeaten after defeating UVSE II in Budapest on Saturday, while Tatabánya also win on the road.
Eger are unbeaten in the women's championship this year, having now beaten Tatabánya once and UVSE II twice. On Saturday, Péter Biros' team were the guests in Újpest and after their 12-1 win three weeks ago at home, the provincial side completed a double over the same opponent with a 15-9 victory, thereby remaining unbeaten at the top of the lower-section table.
Tatabánya are also on nine points with Eger but have played four matches to Eger's three, the latest coming on Saturday at BVSC II. Former Hungarian international goalkeeper Ildikó Zirighné Sós saved 11 shots from the 12 she faced and this, coupled with the team's excellence in attack, ensured confident victory would follow.
